The Anchorage Skijor Club, Inc., is a nonprofit  volunteer organization whose purpose is to promote the sport or skijoring and ski pulk through sponsorship of recreational activities  such as skijor and polka races and skijor tours; educational activites such as instruction and lectures relating to skijoring; and maintenance of public skijoring trails and facilities. Additionally, the Anchorage Skijor Club supports canine-powered sports, cross-country and back-country skiing, and other related winter sports.

The Anchorage Skijor Club isa 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization.
